Shoalhaven Zoo

Located just 30 minutes north of Sussex Inlet, on the bank of the Shoalhaven River, Nowra is the closest zoo. Here’s what the keepers have to say about their boutique zoo.

Shoalhaven Zoo, formerly the Nowra Animal Park, is an animal park on the South Coast of New South Wales, Australia.

Shoalhaven Zoo is the largest native animal park on the NSW South Coast[1] and holds over 100 species of mostly native mammals, birds and reptiles. The park is set in 16 acres native bushland and resting on the banks of the beautiful Shoalhaven River, you’ll find plenty to see and do during your visit.

Shoalhaven Zoo is open EVERYDAY of the year from 9:00am to 5:00pm (except Christmas Day)

We recommend a minimum of 2 hours for your visit to the park. Plan your visit to include our Animal Shows which commence daily at 11.00am, with the last show of the day at 3.00pm.
